Designing for a sophisticated luxury brand
The goal of Glenmede's website design was to define an intuitive user journey by highlighting services relevant to each visitor and to create a more engaging experience in order to increase interest, interaction, and leads. To achieve this, our team created a simple navigation that easily lets users find the right service within their industry in addition to adding engaging components throughout the site. These components showcase animations and micro-interactions to display information in a more comprehensive way. Glenmede's website was designed with warm, sophisticated elements and colors to support their brand voice and demonstrate that their client's needs are understood and met by using their service.
Design Process
Throughout the site, we employed a sophisticated design approach by using abstract, inspirational photography and parallax effects. We also utilized Canela, a serif typeface for headers that evokes a feeling of professionalism and reputable trust. Combining these elements along with the micro-interactions allow for a positive emotional effect on the user due to smoother UI interactions to display the website's important information.
After completion of desktop designs, our team started the process of responsive design for mobile, tablet, and widescreen to ensure for a seamless browsing experience across various devices.
Dev Preparation
Once visual and responsive design was completed, our team finalized the style guide and created a comprehensive component library. Glenmede's component library included variations of components and content blocks along with its responsive designs. Animation notes and reference examples were also included during this process.
